Now that I'm a teacher, I find a lot of interest in old one-room school houses...this is one I found on Morguefile and the third of the same building I've painted, here at a different angle. I love the warm brick color against the snow and sky, and I appreciate the learning that most likely happened here. Size 11x14 on Fabriano paper.
Holly, This makes me cold just looking at that snow!! Nice contrasts of color. I didn't realize you were a teacher. What level do you teach? I taught too...all subjects and usually any grade from 3 to 6.
ReplyDeletethank you Joan..yes I'm a teacher now (middle school math and science)-was a protein chemist for 15 yrs and always wanted to teach. The good thing is it's a montessori school, so I have much flexibility to be creative!!
