I'm not sure what it is about trees, but their vertical strength and dominance in my paintings is evident. I loved being the forest as a child and still find amazement in the patches of light that can get through a thick canopy and light up the forest floor. This one's BIG, 30x40 and privides many patches of light to look at.
I like this. I like the vertical composition and the colors.
