yellow poplars I

The first in a series of atleast 3 paintings of a poplar forest from Washington state. I was given permission from a flickr friend to paint from a series of photos she took, and I hope to use colors that accentuate the vertical trunks and depth of the forest. Size 11x14 on Fabriano paper.

    There are some many wonderful paintings on your blog I didn't know which one to comment on. This one, and so may others, are so colorful. Love the great contrast.
